I’m a Holden fan and to give up my 2008 Holden for a Mazda MVP was not an easy choice but I’m glad I did it had far more room cheap on petrol economy major factor and yes room for my Walker in the back.

We purchased a Mazda MPV as we needed a 7 seater for our expanding family, but didn't want a big van; the Mazda MPV was right in the middle and still feels like we're driving a regular car, which was very important for my wife who didn't like the idea of driving around in a big car. We ensured we got the 2008 model as it has the 6 speed transmission. We've never driven with a turbo before and can really feel the power so took a little getting used to. We did pay to upgrade the head unit as the original one was Japanese and didn't have NZ GPS available which set us back $600 or so but was well worth it considering this will be our family car for a long time. The electric sliding doors is super helpful for taking our babies in/out of the car. I really have nothing negative to say about this vehicle.

I’m looking forward to having four car seats in and being able to get into the car to get all the children in plus having boot space for a buggy. Electric sliding doors are a big bonus too!

Make sure to test drive and feel comfortable in your vehicle before purchasing. I was lucky enough to find our new vehicle fitted me like a glove, and basically drove itself.

Although difficult to find opt for non turbo option if possible as there are reports that these can fail and are costly to repair. Non turbo model has plenty of power when loaded. Mazda MPV do not come with a spare tire however there is space to have one installed in the tire well in the boot unlike some other Japanese imports which only provide tire inflation/repair kits.

Love my car so much, it has great get up and go with the turbo, but is surprisingly economic especially on the open road. Plenty of boot space and room between the seats so the kids don't feel cramped, and it's very aesthetically pleasing.
